Agile

Agile

As there are quite different meanings and opinions about ‘agile’ and ‘scrum’ out there we’ve decided to give the word to some of the founders –

  • Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland with the latest news about scrum in July 2016 – click here ( 45 min VIMEO video)
  • another controverse opinion about agile in SW-Dev but from a clear mind and very well argued – click here

In our opinion it has to be investigated and tested very carefully if an agile method (i.e. scrum) is really ahead of the more traditional yet tailored ways to manage a project. There are projects that seem to be made for scrum while there are others we would definitly advice and vote against agile methods in project implementation. Never heard of agile methods being used to develop control software for nuclear plants, for example. Or software for security relevant devices like airbags in cars or a clinical radiotherapy.
It will be surely part of a serious ITPM consulting to give project initiators and members orientation in choosing the right tool for the job.
We gonna do that.
